CincyNature Camp 2012

Explore Nature's Playground

CincyNature Camps are a fun way for kids to actively challenge their minds and bodies while using their creativity and imaginations in a natural setting. Each camp offers unique, age-appropriate activities that expose children to new and exciting outdoor adventures in a safe and friendly environment.

CincyNature Camps are week-long nature day camps for children and teens ages 3-15. Camps run from June through mid-August. Join us for an outdoor adventure that's anything but ordinary. Click here for more information, and to view the full listing for CincyNature Camp 2012.

Ice Hike on the Creek at Long Branch Farm and Trails

A Saturday in early January

Explore the artful, frozen shapes in the ice of O’Bannon Creek as we hike on the shallow parts of the creek in search of frozen animal tracks and telltale signs of beaver. Enjoy ice-embedded crystals and bubbles as we look for groundwater icicles. Hot chocolate provided. This program occurs at Long Branch Farm and Trails.

If you would like to be notified to join a naturalist-led hike when conditions are favorable please e-mail Amy Johnson at ajohnson@CincyNature.org and type ICE HIKE in the subject line. Children over the age of 6 are invited to attend with an adult. Dress for the weather.

Members free; nonmember adult $8, child $3. Pay at Door.

Winter Tracking for Families

A Saturday in early January

Snow reveals the habits of animal inhabitants. Head out into the winter wonderland in search of tracks and sign of raccoons, mice, voles, raptors and coyote. Create some tracks your family can take home. Hot chocolate provided.

CNC Nature Preschool

CNC's new Nature Preschool will open in September 2012. We invite you and your preschooler to join us! 

Learn more about this exciting nature-based preschool, and meet CNC's Nature Preschool Director, Tisha Luthy, by setting up a personal meeting. See how the activity stations and classroom materials support learning, and picture these materials transferred to their new location in the Activities Building (currently under renovation to prepare for the Preschool).
