Children ages 7-9 will look will explore the forest, ponds, and fields of Rowe Woods. Introduction to topic and moderate hike provided .
February 13 A Pancake's Best Friend Discover how maple syrup is made and what makes it so yummy. We'll start by collecting sap from the tree and end by tasting warm liquid gold.
March 20 Eyes of Spring Have a look at spring through the eyes of squirrels in the forest and Jefferson salamanders in the ponds and vernal pools.
April 10 The Forest Wakes Up in Wildflowers On our hike, we'll search for the "upside down pants plant," look for plants that look like human body parts and revel in the story of ants and elaiosomes.
May 8 Frog and Toad Quest Eggs, tadpoles and adult toads and frogs … we'll search for them all on a scavenger hunt at the ponds.
