DISCOVERY WINTER/SPRING 2012
Suited to the expanding interests and increased hiking ability of the age group, Discovery provides children ages 7-9 with an introductory hands-on look into a variety of natural history topics. The bulk of class time is spent outside on moderate hikes in search of wonders of nature. 4-session series
Feb. 18 Sunshine is Delicious! Can you eat sunshine? Come and explore how we can use maple trees to turn sunshine into food that we can eat.
Mar. 17 Is it Spring Yet? Be a nature detective and grab your magnifying glass to investigate the forest, field and pond for signs of spring, both large and small.
Apr. 21 Block Party at the Pond Let's head to the pond and use our eyes, ears and hands to meet and greet with the residents of the pond.
May 19 Nature's Treasure Hunt We're going on a treasure hunt! Use a trail map, compass and your Discovery experience to find nature's hidden treasures.
